Balance of System (BoS) components encompasses all the components of the project except the solar PV modules. The solar PV modules comprise of the major share on project expenditure sheet, whereas the BoS components cost approximately 40% of the total project costs.

The significance of procuring the most apt technology for a project has often overshadowed the importance of BoS components, quality of BoS components are often sacrificed for meeting budgetary requirements by EPCs and Developers, and therefore the need to perform factory level inspection of these components is easily overlooked. This practice has at times costed heavily in the long run, often leading to catastrophic plant failure.

Therefore, it is important to attribute equal importance to the principal components of the plant and ensure that factory level inspection is done to ensure quality checks at various stages from checking of raw material, manufacturing processes, till the product is ready for dispatch.

SgurrEnergy’s seasoned engineers are highly competent in conducting inspection for BoS components and ensure that high-grade products meeting industrial standards are manufactured. We have helped manufacturers streamline their manufacturing by control of process parameters for consistently producing high quality products that meets the industry quality standards.

Our
Proficiency –
Your Benefits

We have assessed over 2GW of BoS components for solar PV projects, providing adherence to the toughest quality assurance programs and thereby inspiring confidence in our clients.

We provide material pre-dispatch clearance certificate (MDCC) for all BoS components after meticulous verification of the test results at the manufacturing facility against the results of the tests conducted on field.

We have self-regulated inspection process that is in line with the industry norm and standard

Our Services

To ensure the material quality prior to dispatch, we assist Developers / EPCs by witnessing BoS component testing at OEM place. The findings from the testing are captured in a report which is referred to as a compliance document for clearing the material dispatch to site

Pointer for Inspection at OEM

Based on acceptace of SgurrEnergy inspection team inline with acceptance standard, applicable inspection instruction of the product etc,Competetnt engineer deputs for the withnessing the inspection of capital components like Module Mounting Structure (MMS),Inverter duty transformers,LV/MV panels, Inverters, String monitoring box, SCADA, EHV Switchyard equipment.

QAP Review – SgurrEnergy shall review the QAP shared by the Vendor/EPC/ Client as per the applicable standard.

Upon successful completion of testing and quality inspection, SgurrEnergy prepares the inspection report indicating the critical observation during the inspection and essential compliance required from material/equipment manufacturer before dispatch

Material Dispatch Clearance Certificate

SgurrEenrgy upon successful review of all inspection documents such as Inspection Report, RMTC, internal test reports,Callibration reports of testing equipment and compliance from the manufacturer issues the material dispatch clearence (MDCC)
