UK legislation also now increasingly requires developers to fully explore the opportunities for incorporating embedded low carbon and renewable energy technologies as part of a development’s planning application process. This requirement has been driven nationally through the tightening of the Building Regulations and the introduction of policies such as PPS22 and SPP6.
