 PV Power Plant Portfolios, HSH Nordbank London Branch, Spain (2008)
SgurrEnergy conducted independent energy yield assessments for three PV power plants located in Spain on behalf of HSH Nordbank, London Branch. The projects went to financial close in October 2008.
SgurrEnergy provided the following services:

PV Power Plant Portfolio (28 sites of 1MW), Tenerife, Spain (2008)
SgurrEnergy conducted an independent energy yield assessment on behalf of the mandated lender for a portfolio of 1MW solar energy projects located in Tenerife Spain. This work involved:
- Review of the project design
- Sourcing solar resource data
- Providing an independent energy yield forecast (using industry standard software)
 Feasibility Studies and Detailed Design (PV Power Plant, (20MW) Confidential Client, India (2008)
SgurrEnergy are currently performing the feasibility and design studies for three crystalline silicon PV power plants based in India. The commission includes:
- Calculation of the solar resource
- Specification of the inverters, mounting/ tracking system and cabling
- Advice on module selection
- Plant layout design
- Review of control and instrumentation requirements
- Energy yield analysis

Thin Film PV Manufacturing Business Plan Due Diligence, Confidential Client, India (2007)
SgurrEnergy was commissioned to undertake a technical review of a proposed thin film photovoltaic manufacturing venture. The study provided a technical and market review of thin film solar photovoltaics and assessed the manufacturing methodologies proposed. The study included an appraisal of:
- The solar PV market in general and thin film technologies in detail
- The capital costs of plant items associated with the process
- Operational costs
- Maintenance costs
- Production capacity
- Product quality
- SgurrEnergy provided feedback and technical direction to aid the progression of the business plan.
 PV Power Plant Due Diligence (20MW), Spain (2007)
SgurrEnergy were appointed as technical advisors and technical due diligence assessors for a portfolio of eight multi-megawatt photovoltaic power plants in Spain.
The commission included:
- Full energy yield calculations and modelling
- EPC contract review
- O&M contract review
- Equipment specifications including modules, inverters and tracking systems
- Review of construction drawings
- Review of a selection of mono crystalline PV module manufacturers
- Review of relevant international standards relating to the project

SgurrEnergy was commissioned to conduct the due diligence analysis on an amorphous silicon thin film manufacturing plant in Germany. The study included site visits and an appraisal of:
