SgurrEnergy is delighted to announce the opening of our fourth international office located in Vancouver, Canada. This office follows on from the recent opening in County Wexford, Ireland. Ian Irvine, Technical Director commented, “these openings represent an important milestone in the company’s strategic international expansion plan.”
Across the Atlantic, the Canadian office will be headed up by native, Eric Walker. Eric is a Principal Consultant at SgurrEnergy, he established the SgurrEnergy Beijing office in 2006 and headed up Asian operations since. He stated, “The North American market holds great potential
for renewable energy development and Canada is on the verge of a wind energy boom.” SgurrEnergy is already involved in a number of projects on the West Coast from Oregon to British Columbia. The projects range from community scale right up to large commercial wind farm developments and biomass plants. Our full range of development and due diligence services across all types of renewable energy systems will be on offer from the Vancouver office including specialist expertise in detailed wind farm design and energy yield assessment in complex and forested terrain, issues which are common on the West Coast. The Vancouver office is currently recruiting. Engineers with wind energy experience, project managers with a proven track record and technical professionals are welcome to apply.
