2009 sees increased financial support
for microgeneration through the
European Union’s revised Renewables
Obligation (RO). This exciting
development will
encourage
investment in
emerging
renewable
technologies by
introducing banding
to the RO and
effectively
increasing the
financial incentives
towards microgeneration.
SgurrEnergy’s Low Carbon Services Team is
expertly placed to advise clients on
commercial and small-scale power
generation projects including wind, solar
and heat and the potential financial support
available. Recently appointed team leader
Chris Parcell said, “Shorter payback times
from double ROCs will accelerate the uptake
of microgeneration and should create added
incentive to micro- generators”. If you are
interested in finding out more about the
feasibility and economics of small-scale
renewable technology please contact us.
