SgurrEnergy been shortlisted as a finalist in the National Business Awards for Scotland Small to Medium Sized Business Category. The winner will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on 11 September 2008 at the Glasgow Hilton. Ian Irvine, co-founder of SgurrEnergy commented, “As a business we are continually pushing boundaries and expanding this exciting industry of renewables. We are very proud to be recognised for our achievements thus far.” In June 2008, Ian Irvine and Steve McDonald were recognised at the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of Year Awards in Scotland making it to the final three in the energy category. Just a week later, SgurrEnergy was shortlisted at the British Renewable Energy Association Awards for the company and champion (Ian Irvine) awards, however did not go on to win the overall award on this occasion. SgurrEnergy would like to wish many congratulations to the overall winners and to the finalists of these awards.
