International success

SgurrEnergy celebrated moving into new larger offices in Glasgow and the milestone of our first international office in Beijing in style on St Andrews night. Despite the driving rain many clients braved the weather to join our celebrations. Ian Irvine, technical director, gave a brief overview of SgurrEnergy's history and exciting plans for the future. “We've come along way in just 4 years where the company started as 2 people in an attic to over 40 dedicated professionals and growing fast.”

Guests were treated to a fine Scottish buffet and reception drinks, followed by a whisky tasting world tour. In keeping with the Scottish theme a piper played as guests took their seats for the international whisky tasting event and as Tom Aitken took the stage as the whisky tasting consultant for the evening. Tom recently retired as master blender from John Dewar and Sons where he was responsible for blending Dewar's White Label. Some of the world’s finest whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Japan, USA and New Zealand were enjoyed by all.
