SgurrEnergy were recently commissioned to carry out a low carbon and renewable energy technology review, including it’s incorporation into the built environment, by one of the UK’s leading house builders. This review covered the latest legislation and policies in the pipeline for new build requirements, a detailed profile of all the microgeneration technologies (ie those suitable for small scale integration with buildings and/or community level schemes), including solar thermal, solar PV, micro wind, biomass, ground source heat pump, micro CHP and micro hydro, typical associated costs, grants available and recommendations for future implementation plans.
