Renewable Energy Consultant

Owing to continued growth and high demand for its services, the company is now seeking to recruit a renewable energy consultant to join our expanding technical services team.

Job description

The principal responsibilities of this post include:

  • Wind monitoring mast, data logger, instrumentation installation and commissioning
  • Lidar deployment and maintenance
  • Data recovery, screening and appending
  • Site visits
  • Power performance testing, equipment installation and commissioning
  • General equipment maintenance
  • Report writing
  • Project management of larger mast installations

Essential criteria

  • HND or above in engineering/computing/maths/technology based subject
  • Technically competent
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel
  • Competence in reading and understanding standards and specifications.
  • Reliability and good organisational skills are paramount.
  • You should have excellent communication skills, coupled with a flexible and proactive approach to work to thrive in this busy team.

The successful candidate will have a reasonable working knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems and have a good basic knowledge of mechanical systems which can be built upon.

An interest in renewable energy and/or sustainability is desirable.  The company is growing rapidly and offers excellent long-term career prospects.

Hours: 37 hours per week. Occasional evenings to attend meetings
Holidays: 23 days and 9 public holidays
Contract: Permanent after 3 month probationary period

Location: Glasgow but travel as required.
