Assistant Noise and Vibration Consultant

Our success to date is based on in-depth process and engineering knowledge, applied in a practical manner to provide the best possible solutions and advice to our clients.  This new role represents an excellent opportunity to develop a career in noise and vibration.  The Assistant Noise and Vibration Consultant will provide support the expanding Noise and Vibration team.

Job description

As an Assistant Consultant your responsibilities will include on site noise and vibration monitoring; initial data analysis and reporting duties. Client contact is an important part of the role so good communications skills are paramount.   

Key Skills
You should have a minimum of an HND in Acoustics or a related field such as Engineering or Science and ideally you have some fieldwork experience and an understanding of noise legislation, guidance and software required for Noise Assessments or Environmental Statements and noise and vibration monitoring skills and assessment methodologies.  You should have a good working knowledge of acoustics and noise control.  Consideration will also be given to applications from individuals with more limited experience.  A willingness to study towards the Institute of Acoustics Diploma would be advantageous. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work flexibly with minimal supervision and will need clear and concise technical report writing skills allied to a good understanding of acoustics.   An ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is required.  Excellent IT skills are essential for this role.  A full driving licence is essential and regular travel will be part of the role.
