SgurrEnergy's head office has also won a number of awards of a different kind in the last few years. The SgurrEnergy team were victorious on the football field having successfully won the Scottish Renewable Forum Annual Championships in June 2008 defending their title from the previous year and having won it previously in 2005.
Other sporting achievements include eight members of SgurrEnergy swimming a collective of 25km and raising £800 for the Marie Curie Cancer Fund in April 2008 and the 12 brave athletes who took up the Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge in June 2007 completing a gruelling 16 mile walk and 39 mile cycle ride and raising £5000 for the charity. SgurrEnergy also won the BWEA Darts championship which the SgurrEnergy team won two years running in 2005 and 2006.
